Rangers vice-captain Emily Whelan is expecting a tight and aggressive game, with a spot in the division one women’s grand final up for grabs.
The Vikings took the points when the teams last met two weeks ago, winning 1-0.
But Whelan said the Rangers would be better for their recent knowledge of the Vikings.
“We’re hoping a few changes to our forward line will get us a couple of goals early,” she said.
“Then we’ll just play a bit more defensively, which is our style of game. Even just one goal (early) and that will help with our confidence.”
The loser of Sunday’s match at the Morshead Stadium pitch will take on the winner of the first semi-final between Ballarat and Ballarat North United.
Whelan thanked coach Jim Gray for guiding the team to another finals appearance.
“He’s fantastic and we’re grateful to be supported by him,” she said.
