The centre’s president, Barb Glare, said almost $300,000 had been raised over three-and-a-half years to keep the doors open on the Liebig Street premises.
However, she said they had been unable to attract any grants and were moving to another location which was smaller and cheaper.
The new centre will open at 141 Koroit Street by September 1 and they hope to be able to renovate in the future.
“Initially it may not be the deluxe facilities Warrnambool has come to expect,” Ms Glare said.
However, there would still be facilities for people to be able to feed and change their babies and warm up bottles, as well as having the shop front. Ms Glare said up to 60 families used the Liebig Street facilities every week.
“People come in and say ‘wow. I wish we had something like this in our town’,” she said.
