Harkin’s Power are lining up for a showdown with reigning premier Nirranda on Saturday.
While neither side is facing elimination, Kolora-Noorat has the chance to exact revenge after Nirranda defeated the Power in last season’s semi final.
Harkin said it was vital for his side to nail the basics of their gameplan.
“Simple things win most games of footy, so if you can do them right hopefully on the big ground at Merrivale we can dot our i’s and cross our t’s,” he said.
“We’re really looking forward to it. It’s what you play footy for. We’ve got a good opposition and I can’t wait to just get into it.”
Harkin felt the addition of more experienced players had strengthened the Power’s cause in 2017. “We’ve jelled as the season has gone on,” he said.
