Members of the squadron will be on hand on July 27 at the Warrnambool army barracks to show prospective recruits around.
The squadron meets every Thursday night to undertake a range of activities.
Jemimah Smith, 18, has been in the squadron for six years.
She went along when her brother was signing up and liked what she saw and joined up herself.
She has now advanced to the role of cadet sergeant and is passionate about the squadron.
“I really enjoy the leadership part of it,” Miss Smith said.
“It is great for your confidence, it has really helped me in that way.
“Everyone is really nice and we are a pretty tight group.”
As well as filling a key role at the cadets, Miss Smith is also part of the year 12 student leadership team at Warrnambool College.
Activities undertaken by the cadets include increasing their military knowledge, a drum corp and drone training.
The cadets also take part in military ceremonies such as Anzac Day and Remembrance Day.
As well as their regular Thursday night activities, the Warrnambool-based cadets also get the chance to take part in weekend training adventures.
Last year they travelled to Port Phillip Bay, Werribee and Williamstown for training weekends.
