Chief executive officer Michael Neoh said the June 29 event was open to anyone interested in advancing women’s opportunities in sport in the region.
Warrnambool boxing coach Bess Slater and Warrnambool Mermaids basketball coach Louise Brown are guest speakers.
“What we are looking at in general is improving opportunities for female participation in sport, not just on the field but also in administration, leadership and role models,” Neoh said.
“There’s been work done at state (government) level on gender equity. We want to askt the forum how we as a region can addresses issues – from media coverage, to facilities to role models and improving opporunities for choices in sport.”
The breakfast is at Lady Bay Resort. Tickets can be bought at https://southwestsport.com.au/women-in-sports-breakfast/.
