A further five goals ensured the Jones Oval club accounted for Vic Park on Sunday, leaving Rangers just one point from league leader Sebastopol.
Stewart, a long-time central midfielder, said the players had belief they could match last season’s Ballarat and District Soccer Association premiership year.
“I think we’re equally as strong, if not stronger,” she said.
“We’ve probably got less players – we’ve had to play a few with 10 – but everyone is stepping up and they’re making a big impact.
“We’ve been putting together our passes and one of our strengths is that we’re adaptable. We can move players into different positions because they’re capable.”
Warrnambool is set to face its toughest test of the season to date when it travels to face arch rival Ballarat North United next week.
Stewart said her side was determined to make amends for a five-nil thrashing at the hands of the third-place team in April.
“I missed the game (against Ballarat North United) in round two so I was shattered to hear we went down by that much,” she said.
“I’m really keen to get it back on track. It wouldn’t be so bad, losing to them, but losing by that much hurt.
“I think we’re really keen to get one back on them. We’ll have our two main defenders away, but we’ll hopefully put up a good fight.”
The talented midfielder said the club’s nine-nil triumph over Vic Park on Sunday had confidence oozing.
“We went in pretty strong actually, the defence was really amazing for us,” Stewart said.
“They were really pushing up but we were able to just kick a lot of goals so our attack was equally as strong.
“It was an awesome win for our goal difference, which is really high.”
Warrnambool Rangers’ men enjoyed a bye, but are set to face off against Ballarat Red at Trekardo Park on Sunday. They are currently lodged in fourth place.
