The Cats, sitting just outside the top five, take on fourth-placed South Rovers, which are coming off an impressive win over Old Collegians.
“They’re going to come out hard and firing,” Stacy said. “I reckon a few match-ups will be good to watch, but it’s a must-win for us. We’re just out of the top five, so we don’t want to lose to them.”
But Saturday’s match at Walter Oval will have one point of difference.
Stacy and her sister Rebecca Rohan, who crossed to the Warrnambool and District team from Hampden club Cobden last year, will face-off against another sister in Lions’ defender Jess Rohan, who crossed to the Walter Oval club this season.
While 28-year-old Stacy is a 150-gamer at Allansford, Rebecca, 19, and Jess, 18, have played all their netball together from juniors through to seniors.
There is even a chance the sisters could find themselves matched up against each other at some stage, with Stacy and Rebecca finding playing stints in goals in recent weeks.
“It’s a bit different (to be playing against Jess), but it’s going to be good,” Rebecca said.
“We’ve always been together in defence, but now we can all play anywhere. I think we could end up against each other, we might be down the same end.
“It’s just another game, but it’ll be really good. We all played on the same side last year. It is very different not having Jess with me this year, because we’ve always been together.
“All our family is really close – mum and Dad and our great aunt are coming (so it’ll be fun).”
Jess said there had been a little good-natured banter between the three in the lead-up to Saturday’s game.
“This is my first time without them, especially with Bec,” she said. “I always joke around to Bec and Stace, just tell them that I’m definitely going to win this weekend.
“It’ll be interesting.”
