Smith, 19, cut his teeth at senior level last season, playing 15 games for the Mack Oval club.
Despite Creek’s losing record, Smith said the club was on the up on the back of several strong additions.
“We feel like we’ve got a pretty good list – we’ve picked up Andy McMeel this year as well and he’s been a big recruit,” Smith said.
“We’re feeling fresh at the moment because we’ve just had two weeks off. We’re not too bad at all heading into this week.”
Smith was wary of East Warrnambool, pointing to the Bombers’ solid form in recent weeks.
“It should be a good challenge,” he said.
“I think they challenged Rovers a few weeks back and had some good form leading into the bye round so it should be good to see how we go against them.” Creek’s only win of the season came against Allansford.
