The school community was disappointed after missing out on money for a new school, set to cost about $18 million, in the state budget.
Education Minister James Merlino has been invited to the community meeting, which will be held at the Lighthouse Theatre next Thursday, May 18, from 7pm.
Warrnambool mayor Kylie Gaston will be among the event’s speakers.
South West Coast MP Roma Britnell supported the community gathering.
“So far the government has brought a block of land and stuck up a promotional sign,” she said.
“The plans are drawn up; the project could begin within weeks when funding is delivered,” Mrs Britnell said.
