Scott’s Creek-based outfit Corangamite Lions need players – male or female – to fill its senior side.
The Lions are part of a five-team Sunday competition, which includes two Warrnambool Wolves sides, Hamilton Raiders and Deakin Dragons.
Corangamite president Dean Johnson said he was hopeful players could be sourced to help them see out the 2017 season.
“We’ve been trying for the last week to get numbers together,” he said.
“People have left from last year and people are working.
“We only have four or five confirmed players.”
Johnson said the Lions, who also field two under 13 sides and one under 16 outfit, have produced a mixed bag during their five-year existence.
“We were premiers two years ago and last year finished third,” he said.
“More of the worry for us (if we don’t have a senior team) is trying to attract kids and keep them coming through, that becomes an issue.
“Anyone is welcome to come and have a kick.
“The season runs until the start of the September holidays.”
Interested players can call Dean Johnson on 0400 502 478 about joining the soccer club.
