Vietnam veteran Doug Nolte, who led the Port Fairy and Koroit Anzac Day services, said it was great to see so many school children and community members present for the occasion.
"It makes us diggers proud to see the community support on this day,” Mr Nolte said.
"This day is about community respect for all the people who fought for this country."
Moyne Shire councillor Jordan Lockett said while the day was about the Anzac spirit, it was "beautiful" to see the community spirit on display.
Veterans and community group representatives laid wreaths at the Railway Place and Koroit war memorials.
