He was one of 10 players selected on the team, which was announced Wednesday and will compete at the Australian under 16 championships in Perth later this year.
It will be an all-new look Country team, with no players remaining from last year’s silver medal-winning outfit.
Another young Warrnambool basketballer, Marcus Herbert, was named as an emergency for the team.
Head coach Lucas Allen said it was “definitely going to be a dynamic, athletic, versatile team”.
“The players have got two jobs – get better themselves and make each other better – and if they’re doing that, then the outcomes take care of themselves from there,” he said.
The Australian under 16 basketball championships will be held from July 8-15 in Stirling, Perth.
