He will make his debut after getting the call-up to replace Port Fairy’s Aaron Williams, who had to withdraw with work commitments.
Couch will be one of four new faces in the squad, alongside Jimmy Elford, Tyler Fowler and Kory Howlett.
The 14-man team features all home-grown talent, with four Sri Lankan imports missing the final cut.
“We haven’t included any imports – we know they’ve done pretty well, but we’ve gone with the local flavour,” WDCA country week coach Ray Drew said.
“Brody Couch, he was captain of the Warrnambool Colts country week side and in the Western Waves side in Melbourne last week.
“We’ve put him in for the experience. We can’t guarantee him in all the games, but we’ll include him in somewhere along the week.”
