Colac police said the Ford Festiva valued at about $1500 was stolen from an isolated property along the Colac-Lavers Hill Road overnight Sunday.
The vehicle was found burnt out on Tuesday afternoon at Forest.
The elderly pensioner's walking frame was found near the burnt out car.
Detective Senior Constable Stuart Sims, of the Colac police crime investigation unit, said the pensioner was disappointed his car had been stolen and destroyed, but pleased the walking frame had been returned undamaged.
Police have requested anyone with information to contact Crimes Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or the Colac police station.
