A cricket competition on the sand, along with live music from Gus Franklin and Jordie Lockett, was part of the four-day Beach Fest.
Warrnambool City Council events and promotion co-ordinator Rebecca Elmes said the initiative was organised in partnership with Cricket Victoria, South West Sports Assembly and Woodford Cricket Club.
“Beach Fest has extremely popular,” she said. “We’ve had fabulous feedback from locals and visitors on how engaging it is. It is promoting the best of Warrnambool and our beautiful open spaces.
“It gives visitors something to do while they are here.”
Beach Fest continues tomorrow with an Aquathon from 4pm.
