The former Nestles player is yet to make an appearance in BBL06, with recruits Ben Dunk and Alex Carey creating competition for the wicketkeeping spot.
Dunk has held down the position in the Strikers’ first two games, making 85 against Brisbane Heat before going out for a duck against Perth Scorchers.
But Ludeman, who is a proven performer on the Big Bash stage, hopes he is doing enough to come into consideration for the Strikers, who play their next match on Saturday against Sydney Sixers.
“It’s just up to the selectors,” he said.
“I think my record speaks for itself and they know what they’re going to get from me.
“Obviously (I need to) keep performing as well as I can and force my way back into the team.”
Ludeman has averaged 31.6 and 36.57 runs in the past two BBL seasons, scoring more runs than any other wicketkeeper last summer.
The 29-year-old said he was happy with the work he was putting in on the training track and over the first half of the summer, highlighted by a sensational knock of 167 against South Africa during a tour match in October.
“It’s disappointing not to be selected, but … I feel like I’m performing pretty well and obviously Twenty20 is something I’ve done reasonably well in,” he said.
Ludeman was back at his home base in Nirranda during his week off over Christmas.
