Warrnambool RSL president John Miles, Moyne Shire mayor Jim Doukas and Warrnambool City councillor Tony Herbert were special guests at the awards ceremony and final parade for 2016.
Commanding Officer of 413 squadron Paul Marsland said 2016 had seen the squadron maintain a healthy appetite for activities and adventure.
This included training weekends at Port Phillip Bay, Werribee and Williamstown.
He also highlighted the squadrons involvement in community activities.
“This year our Cadets have taken an active role in ANZAC Day services in Warrnambool and Dennington, the Vietnam Veterans Day service, the Remembrance Day service and the Australia Day flag raising ceremony,” Commanding Officer Marsland said.
“These activities play a significant part in the development of our young people and the appreciation for their local community.”
