Benjamin Paul Arundell, 26, previously of Ayrford Road, pleaded guilty in Warrnambool Magistrates Court to driving, drug and firearms offences.
He had spent 55 days in custody before appearing in court and had another 50 days left to serve.
On release from prison next year, Arundell will start an 18-month corrections order with treatment and rehabilitation conditions for drugs, alcohol and programs including a road trauma awareness course.
He was jailed for three months in April last year and had completed two-thirds of the community work before his relationship broke down.
Offending that followed included driving at 80 kilometres an hour through the East Warrnambool Primary School just after 3pm on a school day.
The new offending also involved police catching Arundell behind the wheel while he was banned from driving for four years. The ban was enforced after he was caught in an unregistered car during January.
Police raided Arundell’s home on April 4 and found stolen items including a ride-on mower, chainsaw, brushcutter, two sanders and a multi-tool.
Officers found a sawn-off shotgun and spent cartridge in a shed and 10 boxes of ammunition around the property.
Arundell said he sometimes went shooting with friends and brought ammunition home in his pockets.
On April 15 he admitted using ice and cannabis and the next month was again caught with drugs in a backpack.
In October a vehicle was stolen from the Camperdown railway station which contained a wallet and bank cards. Arundell was seen on security camera footage using two cards trying to buy alcohol.
He also failed to appear in court twice and police arrested him on October 15.
Solicitor Xavier Farrelly said his client had attributed stresses in his relationship to turning back to using drugs.
