Warrnambool police’s criminal investigations unit will allege the four adults and one child went to a Warrnambool home and got into a dispute with the residents.
The five were taken into custody soon after and were expected to be charged and appear at the Warrnambool Magistrates Court at a later date.
In an unrelated matter, police have charged a 42-year-old Koroit man with doing a burnout in the town.
The incident occurred earlier this month at 10pm on a Thursday in Commercial Road.
Police allege the man did a 60-metre burn-out in his car. He has been charged on summons to appear at the Warrnambool Magistrates Court.
The resulting noise caused “quite a lot of residents to come out and observe the smoke and the motor vehicle”, Sergeant Pat Day of Koroit police said.
