Koroit and District Basketball Association has entered six teams in the two-day tournament.
The Saints will also supply a court for the annual competition, which has attracted a record 97 teams.
Vice-president Jodie Keast said Koroit was thrilled to field four boys and two girls teams.
“To have six teams at any tournament – we have never done that before,” she said.
“It’s an awesome feat and reflects on our committee and coaches who have put their hands up.”
Junior classic organiser Jenna Osborne said the competition had attracted 20 more teams than last year.
“Our feeder associations haven’t changed but have increased in numbers,” she said. “Colac has 12 instead of eight, Terang 10 and the likes of Portland and Hamilton have two teams in every age group. I don’t know if it’s the hype around the Olympics bringing in more kids.”
