McCluggage’s four-goal effort, which also yielded 17 disposals, three inside 50s and two tackles, earned the 18-year-old honours as second-best-on-ground behind Tim Taranto.
It only added fuel to speculation that the South Warrnambool hopeful could emerge as a prized high pick in November’s national draft.
Camperdown recruit Cedric Cox – who has been mooted as a surprise first rounder – notched nine touches and two inside 50s in the talent-packed clash.
Koroit’s Willem Drew, fresh of a premiership victory with the Saints last weekend, managed 11 disposals and two rebound 50s to keep his name in the mind of recruiters.
The national draft will be held from November 25 to 28 in Sydney.
