The club, which will launch its 2016-17 season with a Killarney triathlon on October 30, will host a ‘come and tri’ day on Saturday, October 9. Club representative Ian Barnes said it would start with a swim at Splash Factory and a ride and run around the Albert Park complex.
“This free event is for everyone, from people who are new to triathlons and want to give one a go without the pressure of a race or triathletes with a little more experience who just want to catch up with some training after the winter break and blow out the cobwebs,” he said.
“Everyone can go at their pace and do the distance they feel comfortable with and if you want to skip a leg, no problem or you can do it in team. The tri club will have members on hand to provide some tips about completing a triathlon, what you need on race day and run through what you need to do for a transition.”
