Mills was a frustrated onlooker when his side went down to its grand final opponent-to-be, Glenthompson-Dunkeld, in the second semi-final.
Penshurst was thrashed by 107 points. However, the Bombers bounced back to demonstrate their best in last week’s preliminary final, defeating Hawkesdale-Macarthur by 68 points to book a grand final berth.
Mills said the return of two key players would boost the Bombers’ chances.
“We had two of our senior boys out last time we played them (in the semi-final) as they were playing seniors, but they’re back in now,” he said.
“We’re starting to hit our straps a bit more now. The boys back in are important to our team structures.”
The under 16.5 grand final will kick off at 9.30am at Glenthompson.
