This is the average number of people who visit the Royal Queensland Show (EKKA) each year during its 10-day duration.
Mr Rigg, who paints by holding a brush in his mouth, will demonstrate his amazing technique and enter two of his paintings in a competition between August 5 and 14.
The paintings Mr Rigg has entered draw their inspiration from scenery around Warrnambool.
One painting is a beach scene called ‘Eastern Beach Port Fairy’ and the other of Griffith Island Lighthouse.
A quadriplegic since 1982 when he fell 10 feet to the ground while repairing a roof, Mr Rigg admits the exhibiting can be tiring despite the social rewards.
“Sometimes I wonder why I do this, but feedback in person is very encouraging,” he said
“I particularly like meeting the children. I am always intrigued by the interest shown by children and the questions they ask.”
