In the 1994 TV commercial a kombi van crashes into the side of a truck, resulting in young couple being killed.
Police officers said on Saturday morning it was fortunate more people were not killed at Drumborg and urged driver to take all possible care on the roads.
Earlier: MAJOR Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating following a fatal collision at Drumborg on Friday afternoon.
Police have been told a Toyota van was travelling west along Princes Highway when it collided with the driver’s side of an east bound B-Double about 2.45pm.
A passenger in the van, a 45-year-old man from Minto, New South Wales, was airlifted to hospital with life threatening injuries, but died shortly after.
A second passenger in the van, an 18-year-old man from Glenmore, New South Wales, was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the van, a 49-year-old man also from Glenmore New South Wales, and the remaining five passengers were uninjured.
The driver of the truck, a 35-year-old Hamilton man, was not injured.
The Princes Highway at Drumborg was opened to traffic early Saturday morning.
The investigation into the cause of the collision is ongoing involving both Major Collision Unit and Heavy Vehicle Unit officers..
