According to the Warrnambool & District Historical Society, this was taken by an unknown photographer in 1964 and shows Brookwell Panels at the corner of Raglan Parade and Foster Street.
Brookwell Panels was mechanic/panel beater, as well as a tow-truck operator and petrol station.
This particular location has undergone a few changes since 1964. Just four years later, the first Kentucky Fried Chicken outlet opened in Sydney, and some time after that this site hosted its own KFC franchise, complete with its distinctive roof profile. The roof is still there, although these days the building is home of the offices of JG King.
