The free barbecue happens at noon and is part of a co-ordinated industry-wide attempt to support dairy farmers, who have been left reeling by milk price cuts.
The barbecue aims to get farmers to “look over the farm gate” and come together to discuss issues and support each other.
Moyne Shire mayor Colin Ryan said the free sausage sizzles were an opportunity “to talk to the neighbours”.
The event has been organised by Victorian Farmers Federation, United Dairyfarmers of Victoria, and WestVic Dairy, with support from community organisations such as Lions, Rotary and the CWA.
CFA sheds hosting barbecues in the south-west include Heywood, Cashmore, Woolsthorpe, Hawkesdale, Framlingham, Kirkstall, Mortlake, Toolong, Laang, Panmure, Mepunga, Broadwater, Timboon, Camperdown, and Larpent.
