Monday’s patrons were positive about the amount of activities on offer and the ages the festival catered for.
It was the first time at the festival for Geelong’s Britney O’Brien who was at the festival with her mum and grandfather John Mee.
The family purchased a seven-day pass and were excited to see the site and all the festival activities.
It’s just such good value. The kids get to do so many different things and it caters for all ages, from my four-year-old daughter to my eight-year-old son.

“We’d heard about it and thought it was about time to bring her and have a look,” Mr Mee said.
It is the fourth year Ann Cunningham from Camperdown has brought her three children Taj, 8, Ava, 7, Maisie, 4, and god daughter Ella Lewis, 12, to the event.
“It’s just such good value,” Mrs Cunningham said.
“The kids get to do so many different things and it caters for all ages, from my four-year-old daughter to my eight-year-old son.
“This is the first year we have got a seven-day pass and it’s been really good because we’ve just been coming and going. It’s a bit more relaxed than trying to fit everything in.”
When asked what their favourite part of the event was, Taj couldn’t settle on one particular thing, instead he liked “the whole festival”. Ava’s highlight was the Jhoom Bollywood dancers.
Maisie enjoyed holding the rabbits, having her face painted and watching the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School Dancers.
Local resident Sharon Shanley said the festival was great for Warrnambool and helped keep the children occupied during the winter school holidays.
She also purchased a seven-day festival pass this year, preferring to take in the event at a slower pace.
“You can go for a couple of hours at a time and you don’t have to spend all day here,” Mrs Shanley said.
Pippa McCarthy, 7, will attend the festival for the week and said she wouldn’t tire of the event.
“I want it to be here for 100 years,” she said smiling.
