A 1-0 loss to Vic Park Blue in round nine of the Ballarat and District Soccer Association was a disappointing result for the Rangers.
The game looked like ending in a scoreless draw before Vic Park Blue’s Andrew McLeod struck with a goal in the 89th minute.
Warrnambool Rangers coach Cameron Pyke said it was a tough loss to take.
“It was disappointing because I thought we played our best soccer for the season,” Pyke said.
“We created a lot of opportunities over the 90 minutes of play.
“We had three or four shots hit the crossbar and I think they only had a couple of really good forays into attack and they were able get that score.
“I was confident if we played well we could win but we just didn’t have any luck to go with it so it wasn’t our day.”
