Williams is on the Werribee list and has played three senior games for the Tigers this season.
With Werribee having two weeks off for a bye and then representative football, Williams was able to return to the Magpies, his home club.
Camperdown coach Phil Carse said Williams played across half back and was a solid contributor.
“With Werribee having two weeks off in a row they encouraged their young guys to go back and play a game with their home clubs,” Carse said.
“Jack has had a great start to the season and his last three games in the VFL have been at senior level.
“We might get him back for one or two more games later in the year but his focus is certainly on getting established in the VFL.
“We love having him back but we are also very supportive of him playing the highest level of football he can.
“It was great for our young blokes to get to play alongside Jack today, they were very excited about it.”
Some of that young talent was prominent for the Magpies in what was a competitive effort against the Hampden league’s top team.
Cameron Spence racked up 30 possessions as an onballer and half forward while Sam Cunnington won praise from his coach for his attack on the contest.
“The effort was really good from our boys but their ball use was cleaner and more effective than ours going forward,” Carse said.
