The Bulldogs had to work hard to turn things around after trailing Deakin University at the first two breaks, but a stellar second half saw them go on to win 18.13 (121) to 9.12 (66).
Panmure coach Joe Kenna said his players hadn’t “turned up to play” in the first half, but went back to basics after the main break.
“People were just waiting for it to happen, but everyone has got to go and do their part. We had to dig deep to get on top of them,” he said.
Moving Luke Ryan into the ruck helped the Bulldogs, while defender Michael Payne was best on ground.
