The club recently received funding to erect a plaque dedicated to members and non-members who enlisted in the First World War after its original roll was lost.
The original roll was made in November 1916 despite the war continuing until 1918 so veterans who joined for service after that needed to be added.
Club members found errors in their sources and are asking anyone with accurate information to contact them.
The plaque is being funded by a Warrnambool City Council community development grant and will be ordered on May 27.
Anyone who had a relative who was a Warrnambool Rowing Club member and enlisted in World War 1 should contact Susan Finnigan on 5569 2079, who is compiling the new honour roll.
