On Monday, April 4, she was flown to a Melbourne hospital in a serious condition after she was hit by a utility at Balmoral.
Hamilton police said an incident happened about 7pm out the front of a Balmoral address when the child was involved in the accident.
She suffered internal injuries and was airlifted to Melbourne’s Royal Children's Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
The circumstances of the accident were subject to a police investigation but it was not a high-speed impact.
An Ambulance Victoria spokeswoman said the girl suffered chest and abdominal injuries.
The girl’s mother said only one vehicle had made contact with her daughter and she was expected to make a full recovery.
Hamilton police Sergeant Mark Phillips said the matter has now been investigated and there was insufficient evidence for any charges to be laid.
"The little girl is doing fine and is back home again," he said.
