The unexpected arrival of Flynn Fawcett this week meant four family members over four generations now share May 3 as a birthday.
Mrs Crompton said Flynn was supposed to arrive last Friday, but decided to wait.
“I just can’t take the smile off my face,” she said.
I don’t think in a million years it will happen again, there has to be some connection between us and May 3rd.

“He wasn’t due on my birthday, we had a baby shower a few weeks ago and we had to predict his arrival date – I said May 3.
“Everyone said it wouldn’t be possible.
“It’s just incredible. I don’t think in a million years it will happen again, there has to be some connection between us and May 3rd.
“I do feel very sorry for the rest of the family who have to buy presents for us all.”
Mrs Crompton was born on May 3, 1950. Her daughter Nykarla Chambers arrived on the same date in 1976.
Miss Chamber's sister, Meresha Medcraft, gave birth to Bella on May 3, 2000 and, just this week, Bella's sister Millie had Flynn.
Miss Chambers said it would be good if the tradition continued.
“It's amazing,” she said.
“It’s really good sharing a birthday, we all get together on the day and it’s a bit of a race to get the phone in the morning and be the first ones to call each other to say happy birthday.
“It’s just uncanny, I’ve never heard of it before.
“Hopefully we are around to see the next generation of kids and see what they have to bring.”
The whole family came together to celebrate on Tuesday night, where about 30 people sat down for dinner at Soden’s Hotel in Albury.
While Mrs Crompton said she waited up like Cinderella until midnight May 3 for the news, Meresha said the family was in disbelief.
“It hit 12.01am and I messaged mum, my sister and my daughter and said they were about to get another special birthday present,” she said.
“Millie had her baby at 1.26am Tuesday, you just wouldn’t read about it.
“It's bizarre.”
Bella, who was the youngest of the May 3 babies, said it was a good outcome.
“I guess I had to be knocked-off at sometime,” she said.
