CONGRATULATIONS: Full credit must go to the hard-working committee of the Koroit Irish Festival who staged another great event at the weekend. The committee puts in untold hours to ensure the festival is a success on the local calendar.

GREAT: Port Fairy Community House has come up with the great idea of running a sewing program for beginners. The two-hour sessions commence at 9.30am on May 13, 27 and June 10.
WINNERS: No doubt about the economic impact the Warrnambool May Racing Carnival brings to small towns such as Koroit and Port Fairy. Both reported solid business trade during the carnival.
