Sharp will watch on as one of his kennel's stars Dynamic Spin opens as favourite in the Flying Start Sprint Final.
The race will be the fourth of 12 on the card and is one of two finals to be contested.
The other final is in race five where Catch Fire will start favourite in the Warrnambool Fencing Specialists Final. Both finals are restricted races with greyhounds with one to two wins contesting race four and race five for those with up to four wins.
The meeting is part of the Warnambool Greyhound Racing Club’s Seaside Carnival which runs from December 27 to January 14.
Warrnambool Greyhound Racing Club general manager Matt Ansell said exciting racing is ahead.
“The Flying Start Sprint Final looks to be a really even race so when that is the case the good box draw comes into it,” Ansell said.
“Dynamic Spin has drawn box one so that might get him in front of five or six other strong chances in the race.
“In the other final Catch Fire looks to be the standout there with four wins from six starts.”
Ansell said the Seaside Carnival has been popular with strong crowds attending. He said a free shuttle bus which transfers people to and from the track has been well used.
In horse racing, former Sydney-trained galloper Judges may kick off 2016 on a winning note for Warrnambool trainer Daniel Bowman when he runs in the William Hill Handicap at Moonee Valley on Saturday.
Bowman, fresh from winners at Penshurst on Boxing Day and Woodford last Sunday, has trained Judges for two starts.
The first an impressive win at Ararat, the other an unplaced effort at Ballarat on November 21.
"We were going to run Judges at Flemington a fortnight ago but I thought he needed another gallop so I decided not to run him. I saved him for this race," Bowman said.
"He's still immature mentally but I reckon once the penny drops he'll be a serious type of horse.
“The 1200 metres suits him at the Valley I think he should run out a strong 1400 metres next time in work."
Judges, formerly trained by Joe Pride has drawn barrier 4 in the $60,000 race which is ideal, according to Bowman.
"It's a great barrier. I think he should be able to run on the speed before finishing off the race," Bowman said.
"I'm prepared to forget his poor effort at Ballarat as he had a foot abscess a couple of days after that run. We freshened him up following the Ballarat run."
Darren Weir's Warrnambool satellite stable has two runners on the eight race program, Star Stealer and Clevadude.
