Port Fairy police Senior Constable Chris Carr said an amount of property allegedly stolen was recovered yesterday afternoon and the man arrested.
He said the property, which includes golf clubs, wine, computers and laptops, was valued about $2000 and police allege it was stolen in burglaries around the Port Fairy district during the past couple of months.
Senior Constable Carr said owners were yet to be identified for some of the property, including the golf clubs.
The man was arrested, charged and bailed to appear in the Warrnambool Magistrates Court.
Anyone missing a set of golf clubs can claim them by contacting the Port Fairy police station and correctly identifying the clubs.
