Former Mailors Flat resident CW Stoneking and Warrnambool export Wayne “Slatts” Slattery could find themselves collecting an award when they’re handed out on at Sydney’s Star Event Centre on November 26.
Slattery was nominated alongside his King Parrot bandmates in the best hard rock/heavy metal album category for Dead Set.
Stoneking has received a nomination in the best blues and roots album category for his record Gon’ Boogaloo.
It’s Stoneking’s sixth nomination. He previously won best blues and roots album in 2009 for Jungle Blues and will be up against Marlon Williams, The Black Sorrows, The Waifs, and Tim Rogers & The Bamboos.
