The third-year coach was a despondent figure after his men suffered a 16.12 (108) to 4.12 (36) hammering at the hands of Merrivale in the Warrnambool and District league preliminary final.
“I’ll wait until the dust settles and have a think about it. We’ve still got our ressies in so there’s still a week of training to go,” he said.
“We’ll get the end of the season out of the way and go from there.”
Parkinson conceded the Cats “didn’t fire a shot” against the Tigers.
He noted they got going late in the second quarter, kicking three consecutive goals to be within 15 points at half-time, but fell away badly thereafter. Skill errors were at the heart of the defeat.
Sam Doukas, Brett Membrey and Brad Williams were their standout players while Justin Fedley and Leatham Robe were the pick of the onballers.
“You can talk about execution and we didn’t execute at all today,” Parkinson said.
