Detective Sergeant Lee Porter said offenders entered the garage overnight Monday via a back gate off Denney Street.
He said the offenders searched a vehicle's glove box and removed coins before taking a white Outer Reef three-fin surfboard, a Full Circle surfboard with four fins, a red Aldi gardenline chainsaw, a black Excel wetsuit, a number of surfboard fins and a Big Boy brand surfboard bag.
The items were worth about $2000.
"A vehicle is believed to have been used to transport the items," Detective Sergeant Porter said.
He said anyone with information on the burglary should contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
