Set Square, the winner of last year's group 1 VRC Oaks, Akavoroun and Light Up Manhattan are entered for both races. Azkadelle, Brockhoff, Jameka and Petits Filous are his other Cox Plate entries while Kapour and Tucano make up the Caulfield Cup nominations.
The Caulfield Cup is on October 17. The Cox Plate is at Moonee Valley seven days later.
"The trick is to try and get them into those major races now. There's a lot of water to go under the bridge in the next few months but the horses are all in great condition,” Maher said.
