Mr Abbott will head to South Australia’s largest regional city tonight for a function before touring the Limestone Coast tomorrow.
He is then scheduled to visit Horsham on Thursday for several Wimmera region events.
Mallee MP Andrew Broad said Mr Abbott would make a funding announcement during a breakfast at Wimmera Base Hospital.
“We will hopefully have some good news that will accommodate all levels of the community,’’ he said.
“It will be exciting, so watch this space.’’
Mount Gambier is located in the Barker electorate held by Liberal MP Tony Pasin, while Horsham is located in Mr Broad’s Mallee constituency, held by the National Party.
