Third-placed Terang hosts fourth-placed Bookaar today in a two-day match that could seal the Bloods’ finals participation.
But Hunger is not taking for granted his side’s two-game break over Bookaar on the ladder.
“We are aiming to win them all (the last three games),” Hunger said.
“We’ve just got to get this one. Every game we play, we are trying to win. We can’t afford to drop one here or there.”
Hunger said Terang, half-a-win behind second-placed Cobden, could still climb into the top two.
“That’s our aim,” he said.
“To be 100 per cent sure we get there, we need one more win. Hopefully we can win them all and the ladder falls into place.”
The Bloods, who missed the finals last season, know they can’t look too far ahead with three big matches remaining before the semi-finals.
Hunger said the Bloods’ next two games, against arch- rival Noorat and defending premier Mortlake, would be tough yet ideal leading into finals.
He said a strong performance was important against another side that seemed finals bound.
“It could be a final preview of some description,” he said.
“It will be interesting to see how the game goes.
“The last time we played them we got over the line. They were chasing and we were able to scratch out the last couple of wickets.
“From looking at a few of their players, they have come a long way since then and we have too. I’m expecting a bit of a different game.”
Terang stepped up training intensity on Thursday night, underlining its selection policy for today’s match.
“We are definitely going to cut down to an 11 we can go into the finals with,” he said. “It is time to start looking forward to that.”
In other games, fifth-placed Heytesbury Rebels are chasing an upset against top side Mortlake at D.C Farran Oval to keep its finals hopes alive.
Bottom-placed Simpson is looking to claim its second win of the season when it faces sixth-placed Pomborneit away, while second-placed Cobden is out to consolidate its position when it hosts seventh-placed Noorat.
