More than 80 swimmers, the majority from the host club, have entered the meet.
President Julie Rowlands said it was an exciting opportunity for the club’s youngest competitors.
“Warrnambool Swimming Club is growing rapidly and we have a lot of young swimmers who have recently joined the club,” Rowlands said.
“For many swimmers it is their first swim meet and it’s nice for them to go to their first club meet in their home town.”
The competition is open to junior and senior swimmers.
Many will use it to push for state and country championships qualifying times.
Rowlands said the longcourse meeting was one of the biggest days on the club’s calendar.
Its shortcourse meeting in June is another highlight.
“It will be a great day for the club,” she said.
“We’ll follow the meeting with a Christmas barbecue.
“We have had a lot of responses to that so it will be a fantastic day for us.
“The swim meeting on Sunday really is a community event.”
Swimming is from 10am to 3pm at AquaZone tomorrow.
