Other equipment bought during the past financial year includes sensor mats that alert hospital staff to when patients are unsteady on their feet, a hand myometer that measures muscular strength and an Accuvein device that helps staff identify where veins are in patients.
The auxiliary’s annual general meeting last month heard that funds for the purchases were raised through a variety of auxiliary events including film mornings, a cocktail party and a high tea.
