A North Warrnambool Eagles player was injured in two separate incidents involving different Cobden opponents during a match at Cobden Recreation Reserve on July 19.
Eagles officials lodged a request for the matters alleging unbecoming conduct to be reviewed by an AFL Victoria Country investigations officer.
Hampden league CEO Mike Farrow said investigations officer Roy Baker had taken control of the matter and had 21 days to prepare a report.
Meanwhile, Port Fairy forward Lachie Young yesterday accepted a one-match set penalty suspension after being booked for striking South Warrnambool's premiership co-captain Scott Maddern in the third quarter of Saturday's match at the Friendly Societies' Park.
Young will miss the Seagulls' must-win game against Camperdown at Gardens Oval on Saturday.
