The Swifts yesterday confirmed that work commitments would prevent Wall, 29, from taking to the court for the title fancies in 2014-15.
But the wing attack, who won the Swifts’ coaches’ award in her debut season with the club, will take on a mentoring role during the pre-season.
Wall said she came to her decision after speaking to head coach Rob Wright in the weeks since the Swifts’ campaign ended in the first week of finals.
“I’ve had many chats with Rob and my family over the past month and with my Netfit, my new netball gym class, rapidly expanding and demanding more of my time, I’ve decided to remain in Victoria to focus on this,” she said.
Wright said he was pleased Wall would remain with the club “in some capacity” next season.
“Sarah is just a super impressive person who made an incredible impression on everyone last season,” he said.
