Competitors from Warrnambool, Colac, Geelong and Ballarat will compete in the ninth Billy and Jockie Boydle memorial race, which involves three laps of a circuit north to Noorat and back via Racecourse Road, Terang.
The race is named in honour of the brothers Billy and Jockie Boydle, who won many races throughout the district in the 1950s and ’60s.
The Boydle family has been associated with cycling in the district for more than 50 years.
The 48km race started in 2006, with the idea of bringing a race back to Terang, which no longer has a cycling club.
