Best known for her role as Alf Stewart’s wife Ailsa on the soap opera Home and Away, Nunn has since established herself as a best-selling author and will present a free reading workshop and talk in Portland tomorrow.
Nunn has written more than 10 books. Her latest novel Elianne is set in the southern Queensland cane fields and centres around the Durham family as the social changes of the 1960s sweep across Australia and threaten the foundations of the family estate.
Literary Lunch with Judy Nunn is part of the High Road to Reading program, which also involves a visit to Casterton from Fiona McCallum, best-selling Australian author of Paycheque, Nowhere Else, Wattle Creek and newly-released Time Will Tell.
The event will be held at the Portland Library from 12 noon till 2pm tomorrow with a free light luncheon provided
