Fire restrictions will finish in Warrnambool City area and across Moyne Shire at 1am next Monday, April 28.
In Corangamite Shire, they will end on May 1.
The Country Fire Authority has warned people they should still take extreme care when burning off.
District 5 operations manager Henry Barton said, although the official fire danger period was coming to a close, the recent grass fires demonstrated how quickly fires could take hold.
"Bushfires and grass fires travel faster than you can run. They can threaten properties and even kill," Mr Barton said.
"People should have a fire plan and prepare for the event of fire - never be complacent."
"If a fire is left unattended in windy conditions it can spread quickly and can burn into bushland or onto neighbours' properties."
